Whatever your poison; urban, delta blues, honky-tonk, swamp blues, or blues rock – the Fredricksburg Blues festival has it all.
However, true to the genre they didn’t have more than a few dimes to spare.
So to kick of the season we created ‘blues coupons’ that started showing up in Penny Savers and were inserted into the pages of local newspapers.
Legendary blues guitarist Brownie McGhee once said, “The blues is life.” So we followed the coupons up with posters that dramatized that – even if you hadn’t heard the blues before, the blues were already a part of you.
The perforations on the event tickets were designed to serve as memento’s of loss, grief and heartbreak.
